Week 6

I kinda just played with the fonts and colours really More playing with colours More playing with colours Tried to play with some of the data available but the whole land elevation thing was kinda weird? Even with opacity lowered it was still hard to tell land heights etc. Not sure why mapbox's traffic data couldn't adapt to things like traffic density... or maybe I have to pay for that. Lol. More colours etc. Tried to play around with the elevation data that mapbox had, but I couldn't figure out how to make the colouring not super overwhelming without just reducing opacity. Elevation data still being weird. Trying to figure out what the visual data really meant... Honestly I couldn't figure out how to play with how the data displayed beyond opacity,so I just started playing with colours. Very mild colour / font editing. Playing with fonts and colours some more. I like how you can vaguely see that the elevation colouring is more opaque the higher the elevation... but its such a subtle difference that unless the opacity for the whole layer is close to 0% its kinda useless. Pretty sure I messed around with the coding-part of the datasets and I just got hit with this. Hm... not blue enough. put a description here or you will lose grades Upclose of traffic data, showing that it really doesn't change depending on traffic density. You can only really change the stroke width of all traffic lines, but since its a vector they don't get smaller the more you zoom out. Everything blue except the traffic. Just blue. Played with ocean colour, turned out not that bad :D. More elevation tomfoolery. Traffic close up. Traffic zoom out. A bit more blue.

Spatial Workshop 1

The outdoor sitting area between the J and AA wings. My group felt that the background wall was just kinda... gross, and the mismatch between the lounge chairs (encouraging laying back) and the tables (encouraging sitting up, doing work) just made the space feel like it was tossed together. One section of the marquee/student union interior. My group felt the table football (foosball) and pool table's proximity to the couches were too close, and the big stage lights were just... ill fitting for the space. Other side of the marquee. We felt that the ordering kiosks were too close to the seating, and that the monitors were rather small compared to everything else present.

Spatial Workshop 2

Revamp of the outdoor seating area between J and AA wings. Added foliage, revamped seating. Revamp of the marquee interior, with seating / tables changed to have larger more usable tables, spacing adjusted between seating and game tables. Modified version of the food area in the marquee, with larger screens and modified ordering area / table.

Service Update: Delayed Indefinitely

— Exisiting Transport

"In Delivery" Transport

"In Delivery" meaning anything construction related, like how the Eglington LRT has been "In Delivery" for 5 years past its original due date (CBC).

"Proposed" Transport

Height and saturation of 'population towers' reflects the percentage change in population from 2016 to 2021; in other words, the tallest towers had a 100%+ population change since 2016.
